When you get a result after a day of an experiment. When you get a document after waiting for 3 years....(that has got a special significance to me.)
Its like nourishing a baby throughout your life and then to see him/her succeed in life. You have the feeling of accomplishment, In doing science you can experience parenthood's experience of accomplishment every single day.
I would be talking very analogically, from this point and on. In science you can design your own baby(experiment) decide its fate and it is generally bound to agree to what you decide, if not any havoc happens in the middle.It does not argue for any deciding factor that you want to change.
This goes to all the scientists..... Think over it you will feel the same.
